Tungsten Nickel Iron Alloy Description

Tungsten nickel iron alloy is an alloy composed of tungsten as the matrix and a small amount of nickel, iron and other alloy elements. It has the characteristics of high density (18.8g / cm3) and adjustable, strong ability to absorb high-energy rays (1 / 3 higher than the ray absorption coefficient of lead), low coefficient of thermal expansion, good plasticity, high strength and elastic modulus, good machinability and weldability. So WNiFe alloy is widely used in radiation protection and guidance, industrial counterweight parts, safety and defense parts, etc

 

Tungsten Nickel Iron Alloy Properties

1. High strength: tensile strength is 700-1000mpa;
2. Strong ray shielding ability: under the condition of the same thickness, the ray shielding ability of tungsten alloy is more than 1.7 times that of lead. When the ray is stronger, the difference between the two is more obvious;
3. High thermal conductivity: the thermal conductivity of tungsten alloy is 5 times that of die steel;
4. Small coefficient of thermal expansion
5. Good shaping, processability and weldability;
6. Compared with the toxicity of lead, tungsten alloy material has environmental protection characteristics, and the manufacturing of radiation detector with tungsten alloy shield is not harmful to human safety;
7. Compared with W-Ni-Cu alloy, W-Ni-Fe alloy has certain ferromagnetism, and its mechanical properties and processing properties are better than that of W-Ni-Cu alloy.
